On Monday, the tribunal heard communication data and evidence retrieved from phones documented Ms Wandelt consistently asking Madeleine's mother for a DNA test throughout 2023 and 2024.

Madeleine's vanishing in 2007 - at the age of three during a vacation in Portugal - is considered the most widely reported missing child cases and is still open.

'I Do Not Need Money'

One recorded message, shared in court, documented Ms Wandelt saying: "I understand I'm fat and not pretty like Madeleine used to be, but I know what I feel."

While another instance of Ms Wandelt's recordings with Mrs McCann's answerphone stated: "Imagine there is a slight possibility that I am Madeleine? What happens next? Isn't that crucial for you?"

"I am not seeking money, I maintain a life here in Poland, I simply desire to discover," the message continued.

The jury was told that via emails, SMS messages and calls, Ms Wandelt demanded a DNA test, transmitted early photographs to her phone in a attempt to show a likeness to Mrs McCann's disappeared daughter, and stated to have "flashbacks" from a youth with the McCanns.

Robert Jones, a data specialist with the police force who compiled the information, advised the court there "seemed to lack any answers" from Mrs McCann.

Ms Wandelt furthermore contacted family friends of the McCanns, as per the communication logs.

On October 9th, 2024, the father answered a communication from Ms Wandelt to his wife's phone, stating she had "a wrong number."

During that incident Ms Wandelt deposited a voicemail on Mrs McCann's recording declaring "I won't give up and I plan to establish my position."

Call logs demonstrated Mrs Spragg had communicated using communication app to Mrs McCann to express the news outlets had characterized Ms Wandelt as "emotionally disturbed" but that she deserved to be treated respectfully in the period leading up to the trip to Rothley, that area, in that winter.

The court heard communications between the two defendants, in last November, considering trying to acquire Mrs McCann's genetic material from her bins or from cutlery at a eating establishment.

"We must take action," the co-defendant told Ms Wandelt.

On the occasion of the trip to their residence, Mrs Spragg sent a message which stated: "We are sat outside the McCanns' house with our headlights off like detectives. I desired to do this with another person I didn't imagine I would be engaged in this with the McCanns."

The trial ongoing.
