Comedian and author David Walliams parted ways with book publisher.

The comedian

Best-selling young adult author and comedian David Walliams has been dropped by his UK book publisher, the company has said.

A spokesman for the publisher commented: "Following a thorough review, and under the leadership of its new CEO, HarperCollins UK has decided not to publish additional books by David Walliams."

Media sources suggest that the conclusion was reached following an investigation into claims about conduct deemed unsuitable towards women.

The publisher did not confirm the reasons for its decision, adding: "It is not our policy to discuss internal matters."

A Highly Successful Literary Career

Walliams stands as a most prolific writers for young readers, boasting over more than 60 million copies internationally in 55 languages.

His inaugural foray into kids' literature, *The Boy in the Dress*, was published by HarperCollins in 2008.

A number of his books, such as *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have found new life as small-screen adaptations.

He has published more than 40 books combined, which features a Christmas book named *Santa & Son*, which was published by HarperCollins in October.

A Dual Career

His initial claim to fame came on the TV sketch series *Little Britain* and has also won National Television Awards for his work as a judge on *Britain's Got Talent*.

He was made an OBE back in 2017 honoring his contributions to the charitable sector and arts community.

The publisher's decision comes after the selection of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's freshly installed boss in October.
