Jet Transporting US Defense Secretary Forced to Land in UK Due to Fracture in Cockpit Window

An aircraft ferrying Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth was required to make an unscheduled landing in the United Kingdom on Wednesday after a crack was identified in the aircraft's cockpit window, according to an official announcement which confirmed that Hegseth was safe.

"The plane landed in accordance with established safety measures and all passengers, among them Defense Secretary Hegseth, is safe," an official representative commented in a social media post.

Hegseth was returning from a brief trip to Brussels when the incident occurred.

This incident isn't the first time that a American defense plane carrying a top government figure has suffered technical problems.

In a previous incident this year, a American military jet carrying the US Secretary of State to Munich was forced to return to Washington after suffering a technical issue.
