Her criminal record is spotless,â stated the mayor in a speech with inescapable allusions to the extraordinary and sizable number of pardons issued from the start of the beginning of a current administration. âIf we disregard eating 6 or 7 apples per day,â the mayor added. âI hope she experiences a long and happy life without fear.â This ceremony, simultaneously observing and challenging the area's customary feast of eating roast pork during the holidays, was founded to replicate the annual turkey pardoning at the White House. The pig, provided by a local firefighter, was given its name from the modern linguistic fad of young people exclaiming âsix sevenâ â inspired by a musical verse â often for no discernable reason. The craze became so widespread that a prominent word reference recently declared âsix-sevenâ its top term for the year. A Peaceful Retirement Six Seven the pig is now scheduled to spend its days at a countryside refuge âfar from charcoal and roasting pansâ, according to the eventâs official press release. âThe annual pig pardon has become a cherished method to open the end-of-year celebrations,â said the cafe owner, in a decidedly positive message. âIt represents the spirit of Miami: happy, diverse, and grounded in customs that foster togetherness. Every time, we are honored to observe culture and compassion in a way unique to Miami.â Attendees enjoyed a meat-free selection of croquettes and strong coffee as they toasted the swine's new lease on life.
